09/10 School Site Council Member Nomination
Parents/Guardians needed…
We are in the process of organizing our School Site Council for the 2009-2010 school year. Parents and/or guardians are needed to be a part of the School Site Council to assist in the development and planning of the Single Plan for Student Achievement, school budget, instructional strategies and materials which are responsive to the individual needs of all students. The meetings are scheduled for the second/third Wednesday of the month at 8:30 a.m., with the first meeting on September 16, 2009.
If you are interested in having your name placed on the ballot or nominating someone, please return the bottom portion of this letter to my office in the administration building by June 19, 2009. Ballots will be sent home at a later date and elected parents will be notified.
If you are interested in submitting your name for Kaiser High School's School Site Council, please return the attached form to Mrs. Vass, Ph.D., assistant principal in person or via email (kachmm@fusd.net) by June 19, 2009.

Summer School 2009
Summer School begins on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, and ends on Friday, July 17, 2009, for a total of 28 days. There will be NO summer school on Friday, July 3, 2009 (Holiday).
The bell schedule is as follows...
6:35 - 6:55 am Breakfast / Warning Bell (6:55 am)
7:00 - 9:20 am Period 1
9:20 - 9:35 am Brunch / Passing
9:40 - 12:00 noon Period 2

Successful Grant Application
Kaiser High School was successful in our application for the 21st Century ASSETs grant, so we will receive $250,000 dollars to provide both enrichment and intervention programs either before or after-school, as well as family literacy programs for the 09/10 school year!
